Spring Releases a Beguiling New Trailer…

This trailer paints an intriguing picture of a heady romance which gives way to a horrific nightmare…

I first heard about this film yesterday over at Rhino’s Horror where I became rather intrigued by the quiet romantic feel to the piece that’s coupled with the underlying darkness of some unspeakable horror. The trailer suggests that this will be quite an inventive and interesting horror film which isn’t exactly conventional. IMDb describes the plot as being about ‘a young man in a personal tailspin [who] flees the US to Italy, where he sparks up a romance with a woman harboring a dark, primordial secret’.

Now I don’t know anything about the film or its monsterous secret but I’m pinning my guesses on it having some sort of Cthulhu element to it. Cthulhu is of course the Lovecraft creature which is part dragon, part man and part octopus. The dragon part perhaps not so much… but the focus on water as well as the tentacles on the poster (below) do give off a bit of an octopus vibe. Also, and this is probably just me, but I’m also getting a Don’t Look Now feel from the tight corridors, the water, the relationship between two people and the presence of some underlying horror…

Spring will be arriving in the UK  on the 17th April and in America on the 20th of March and it stars Lou Taylor Pucci, Nadia Hilker and Vanessa Bednar. Be sure to take a look at the trailer below and see what you think:
